Everyone who has a bracelet and credits uploaded onto it, can request a refund of the unspent balance. Be aware that free credits are non-refundable (staff, extra value of presale Klingeling… ). Note that you’ll need a bank account to request a refund.

Important: Remember to keep your bracelet with you when you leave the festival. You will need the number on your bracelet (uID) to claim your online refund.

How do I recover unspent balance?
After the festival, you can request a refund via the online refund form (now closed since the deadline has passed). Otherwise, if you simply take no action your leftover Klingeling will be donated to the Waking Life Land Regeneration Project.

How can I get an online refund?
Online refunds will open 2 days after the event and will last for 2 weeks (from August 25, 00:00 until September 7, 23:59). There you will have to fill in the 14 characters of the unique code that you’ll find on the back of your bracelet and the details of the bank account where you want your money refunded. Please take into account that processing all the requested refunds takes some time. Your unspent balance will be paid back within 7 days.

Why does your refund page show a balance lower than what was remaining at the end of the event?
The refund system will automatically calculate the correct refundable balance. The money that you received as a gift or incentive cannot be refunded (crew, artists, volunteers, …).

The refund period has passed, can I still get a refund?
The duration of the refund period is from August 25, 00:00 until September 7, 23:59. If you try to get a refund outside this window, it won’t work.

I’ve filled in the refund form with the incorrect bank details
Send an email with your bank details and your bracelet number to info@wakinglife.pt (within the deadline) and we’ll adjust the details for you.

Why do I have to pay a transaction fee to regain my refund?
The transaction fee is a banking/processing fee established by the event to cover the transaction cost to get the money back into your account. The transaction fee is €1.
